In addition to Crested Butte, Colorado’s well known reputation for skiing, it is also a great place to go for wild flowers viewing and hanging out in a very western town with many quaint houses. We hung out here while the National Parks were closed due to the irrational government shut down of all our National Parks. Who would not love coming home to this little house every day? Do you think this photo is an example of photo manipulation? Well, I am not sure myself….

Cold Morning Fog
One cold morning I went exploring the area around Crested Butte, Colorado. I turned and went up a hill to see the fog from the warmer lake water meeting the frigid morning air. This is a site we would see on occasion in the winter on Lake Michigan. What I often find intriguing is that sites such as these are everyday for some. One reason this clip was chosen is no cars drove by on their way to work. Also, the guy with the circular saw gave it a rest for a while…..
Crested Butte, Beautiful View
Above the town of Crested Butte, Colorado, and beyond the ski area, is a National Forest. But before getting to this public land, one must pass through 1.5 miles of private land. It is hard for me to imagine that this is someone’s view each day. Crested Butte has some of the most beautiful mountains and land in Colorado.
