Kotor, Montenegro is only an hour drive south of the more popular tourist destination of Dubrovnik in Croatia. It is a real shame people would be so close to the beautiful city of Kotor, Montenegro and not visit. I might even suggest skipping Dubrovnik for Kotor.

Dracula’s Castle, Brasov, Romania
The colorful streets of Brasov were in stark contrast to the reason for our visit to the Transylvanian Mountains of Romania, Dracula’s Castle. It could also be called Romania’s biggest tourist trap and collection of tchotchke shops.

Sardine Festival; Opening Day (almost)
We do not do an extensive amount of research regarding the places we visit. Lisbon, or Lisboa, was on our list of places to visit, so off we went, arriving June 13. As luck would have it, this was the second day of the biggest annual celebration in Lisbon, the Feast of St. Anthony, the patron saint of Lisbon, AKA The Sardine Festival. Our cab driver was very excited about the evening events and all the balconies were brightly decorated.
