How appropriate to photograph an American bald eagle on the Fourth of July in Alaska. In Hoonah, Alaska I was able to slowly approach this eagle which had apparently just eaten some fish. Yep, we made a return visit to Alaska to visit Denali National Park and cruise the beautiful coastline for a second time in two months.

Singapore is sometimes referred to as Asia Light or Asia 101. Everyone speaks English, you are statistically safer here than anywhere in the world, the food is wonderful, cabs are cheap and plentiful, trains are always on time and the airport is rated the best in the universe. The best view of Niagara Falls is of the American side viewed from Canada. The American Falls above are illuminated in the evenings and colored spotlights turn the falls all colors of the rainbow.
Our Seville rental, or as the Spaniards say, Sevilla, immediately appealed to me since another Calatrava masterpiece would be in view from our balcony and immediately outside the front door. My mistake. As it turns out, this world’s largest wooden structure is not a Calatrava at all, rather it was built by some German unfamiliar to me, Jürgen Mayor.

It is difficult to comprehend living in Casa Milà, the famous Antoni Gaudí designed apartment building as several families do to this today. There may not be a straight line nor 90 degree angle in the entire seven story complex. Gaudi is where we get the term gaudy, but I do not think that term fits this great innovative architect.
