By the time we arrived in Cambridge, England, we had been touring throughout Europe and the British Isles for almost six months. We were not very active tourists, but looking forward to relaxing on the boat back to Florida. Getting on the boat where all the important decisions are made for you and there would be a nice exercise room sounded very appealing. It rained most of the time we were in Cambridge. It certainly seems like it would have been a nice but challenging university town to get a college education.
The big milestone accomplished in Cambridge is we turned in our rental car with no incidents. We did find out that Europe Car charged our account an additional $300 or so for no known reason. Something I am looking into. So there is not a lot to say about Cambridge….. We survived the rental car experience with out an accident and that was a major accomplishment for me.
By this stage of the trip, we both agreed that we likely had stayed maybe a month tooooo long. We were not energized excited tourists, rather more in survivor mode, looking forward to the states. However, London was next and I was looking forward to it.
